Client Roles
We have found projects are most sucessful when clients are actively involved throughout the entire process, from planning to development to maintenance of the projects.
In every project, there is a:
- Decision Maker - determines the goals for the Web site and oversees its development
- Content Maintainer - develops and updates content for the site with the assistance of our office
- Visual Designer - updates visual elements on the site
- Web Maintainer - fixes and makes minor updates to coding
- Server Administrator - depending on where your server is hosted, either somebody from your department or a technical staff who serves the entire university
These roles should be delegated during the planning phase, as these people will be involved in the planning, development and maintenance of the site. Depending on your needs, you may wish to have one person fill multiple roles.
